hjbcodeforge.com is a marketing site. It has no accounts, no checkout and no customer data.
Our products are separate, and each has its own privacy policy covering what it does with your data. If you are looking for how a specific app handles your store's information, read that app's policy — for example ShopCanary's. Nothing here overrides those.
Who we are
HJB CodeForge, of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. We build and sell our own subscription software. You can reach us at support@hjbcodeforge.com.
What this site collects
Two things, and only two.
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 on every page to see which pages are read and roughly where visitors come from. It sets cookies and collects your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you visit. We use it in aggregate — we are not trying to identify you, and we do not attempt to.
- Anything you type into the contact form. That form asks for your name, email address, and optionally your company, budget range, the kind of work you are asking about, and your message. It is sent to our support inbox so we can reply. Nothing else on this site collects anything.
Why we collect it
Analytics tells us which pages are worth keeping. The contact form exists so we can answer you. That is the whole of it — we do not build profiles, we do not run advertising or retargeting on this site, and we do not sell or share data for advertising.
Who else sees it
The services we rely on to run this site. Each sees only what it needs.
- Vercel — hosts the site and keeps standard server logs
- Google Analytics — the analytics above
- EmailJS — delivers contact-form submissions to our inbox
- Google Workspace — where our email lives once it arrives
Cookies
The only cookies this site sets are Google Analytics'. There is no advertising or tracking network here. If you would rather not be counted, browser-level blocking or Google's own opt-out add-on both work, and nothing on the site breaks without them.
How long we keep it
Analytics data is kept under Google Analytics' retention settings. Contact-form emails stay in our inbox while the conversation is useful. Ask us to delete yours and we will.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email support@hjbcodeforge.com and we will action it. We are based in Canada and handle personal information under PIPEDA; if you are in the UK or EU, the equivalent rights apply and we will honour them the same way.
Changes
We will post any material change on this page and update the date at the top.
