THE STORY OF THE FORGE
Henning Botha spent years in high-scale enterprise architecture and early-stage startups. He kept seeing the same pattern: the best ideas didn't fail because of the market — they failed because the software wasn't there yet, or cost too much to build, or took too long to ship.
So he stopped waiting for clients to bring him ideas and started building his own. HJB CodeForge exists to ship products that solve real problems — a Shopify app that finally handles B2B net terms properly, an AI chatbot platform businesses can train on their own content, a personal finance tracker that works without an account or a server.
Custom work still happens — selectively, for the right partners, when the project is genuinely interesting. But the mission is clear: build great software, put it in front of real users, and keep improving it.
